    The bit about “relying on other cues like clothing, voice or gait” is the really fascinating part of this post.

      I agree! Teachers with prosopagnosia have reported using classroom seating plans to identify their students, in addition to external cues like their their backpacks. But these creative compensatory strategies do not always work, especially when a person is met out of context or with different external cues like jewelry or clothing.

        I’m bad about names – not faces – and rely on seating plans, and indeed “out of context” can be challenging šŸ™‚
